The optional Transmittance cell holder permits measurement of liquids in 10-mm, 20-mm, 33-mm,
or 50-mm Transmittance cells.

50mm, 33mm, 20mm, 10mm
The Transmittance cell option provides an optically-clear glass cell with a fixed path length of 50
mm, 33 mm, 20 mm, or 10 mm. Transmittance cells are recommended for Transmittance
measurements of lightly-pigmented materials and some reflectance measurements. When used for
Transmittance measurements of liquids, the cell filled with distilled water or another clear solvent
should be used during standardization to set the top of the scale.
