18. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
When the master switch on the rear of the machine is switched on, the light (5, Fig. G/4) remain off and no controls operate, or when
the tool movement or chuck rotation controls are operated the corresponding function is not obtained.
CAUSES
1. The power supply plug has not been connected.
2. Mains power is not being received.
SOLUTIONS
1. Fit the plug into the power supply socket correctly.
2. Repair the power supply circuit.
PROBLEM
When the rim clamping pedal, mobile bead presser lever or wheel lift pedal is operated
no movement is obtained
CAUSES
1. The pneumatic system is not receiving compressed air.
2. The tyre changer connection hose is kinked or crushed
SOLUTIONS
1. Restore the compressed air supply from source.
2. Adjust to ensure air can pass and replace the hose if damaged.
PROBLEM
You notice that the tool moves more slowly and power levels are low.
CAUSES
1. The oil level in the hydraulic power unit is below the minimum level.
SOLUTIONS
1. Refer to the “Maintenance” section for instructions on topping up with oil.
After topping up with oil, the air which has entered the circuit must be bled out; to do this, move all hydraulically operated parts to their
limit stop positions.
PROBLEM
The images on the video screen (if installed) are fuzzy.
CAUSES
1. The camera is dirty.
SOLUTIONS
1. Clean the camera thoroughly with an ordinary detergent.
WARNING:
If following the instructions provided above does not return the tyre changer to correct operation or other types
of malfunction are detected, DO NOT use the tyre changer and call the after-sales servcie immediately.
