Where the ball bearing in the adapter requires
replacement, it then becomes necessary to disas-
semble the overdrive (See Overdrive Section).
After the overdrive unit has been disassembled,
remove the large snap ring in the bearing adapter
(Fig. 58).
1. Snap Ring

Remove the main shaft ball bearing and oil
baffle from the adapter. Then remove the main
shaft snap ring and press the bearing from the
main shaft.
