GAI-Tronics recommends using silicone sealant around and inside all conduit entries.

If using the modular jack remove the cover, and connect the green and red wires of the telephone line
to the green and the red wires of the modular wall jack. See Figure 4 for details. Replace the
modular wall jack cover.

Connect the front panel assembly modular line cord to the modular wall jack in the back box. Refer
to Figure 4 and Figure 5. Models 297SL and 298SL Component Locations.
9.
Perform the initial programming the phone following the steps identified in the Programming section
on page 11.
