S.M.A.R.T. Phones have many standard and programmable features. Each phone in the system can be
programmed independently, providing maximum flexibility for system configuration. See the
Programming section on page 11 of this manual for instructions on basic programming of S.M.A.R.T
phones from another touch-tone phone.
In order to take advantage of some of the advanced programming features, the S.M.A.R.T. Phone must be
installed in conjunction with the GAI-Tronics TMS software. TMS permits centralized processing and
control of all system functions from a personal computer and provides access to a wide range of system
usage and status reports.
Refer to the manual provided with the TMS application software for information on available features and
for remote programming instructions.
To comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the emergency phones shown above provide
hearing-impaired individuals with a visual indication that the emergency call has been answered. The
Braille tag provides vision-impaired individuals with a method of identifying the functions of the
telephone.
