Step 4
Properly place the new battery temperature sensor and bind it securely with a cable tie.
Step 5
Reconnect the battery temperature sensor cable to the UIM.
Step 6
Disconnect the ground cable from the ESD wrist strap, and take off the ESD wrist strap and
ESD gloves.

4.4.15 Replacing a Temperature Sensor
Prerequisites
You have obtained an ESD wrist strap, a pair of ESD gloves, an ESD box or bag, the
cabinet door key, and a maintenance tool kit.
The new temperature sensor is intact.
Procedure
Step 1
Connect the ground cable to the ESD wrist strap, and put on the ESD wrist strap and ESD
gloves.
Step 2
Remove the temperature sensor cable from the UIM, as shown in Figure 4-27.
