Removing a DC PSU
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see

Step 2 Determine the rack number and chassis number of the server to be removed, and
label its panel to prevent misoperations.
Step 3 (Optional) Power off the server. For details, see

● When the server is fully configured with PSUs, if the other PSU is working
properly and the rated power is greater than or equal to the rated power of the
server, you can directly remove the PSU without powering off the server.
Removing all power cables without powering off the server may damage user
programs or unsaved data
● When only one PSU is configured, removing the power cable without powering
off the server may damage user programs or unsaved data.
Step 4 Remove the cables from the PSUs.
1. Turn off the circuit breaker for the DC PSUs.
2. Hold down the latches above the power cables to be removed using a flat-
head screwdriver, and remove the power cables. See (1) and (2) in
3. Loosen and remove the screw from the ground hole using a Phillips
screwdriver, and remove the ground cable from the screw. See (3) in

Step 5 Press the latch on the PSU in the arrow direction, and pull the PSU out of the slot
by holding its handle.
