When the input optical power exceeds the lower input optical power threshold by 0.5 dB, the
alarm is cleared.
2.3.1.2 ALM-65545 EDFA Input Los Power Alarm
Description
When the input optical power of the EDFA PUMP switch is lower than the LOS threshold,
this alarm is generated and the PUMP switch is turned off.

When the optical power is excessively low, the PUMP switch is turned off.
Possible Cause
The input optical power is lower than the LOS threshold for the input optical power.
NOTE

input low threshold
(the low input optical power alarm threshold for the EDFA) is
configurable.
Handling Procedure
Check the cables and increase the input optical power.
