Using the Quick key
You can assign the Quick key to open an application or an item on
your phone with a single press.
Press HOME > MENU, and then tap
Settings > User assigned key
.
Tap
User assigned key #1
, and then do any of the following:
Tap
Apps
, and then tap the application that you want to open
every time you press the Quick key.
Tap
Shortcuts
, and then tap the item (such as
Bookmark
or
Person
) that you want to open every time you press the Quick
key. Follow the screen instructions to proceed.

Open the slide-out keyboard and then press the Quick key.
The application or item should open.
Opening applications with the keyboard
You can set the keyboard keys to quickly open apps when pressed
together with the Search key. For example, if you’ve assigned the
letter “B” to the phone browser, then wherever you are on your phone,
press
B
to open the phone browser.
Press HOME > MENU, and then tap
Settings > Applications >
Quick launch
.
Do any of the following:
Tap an unassigned key to create a new app shortcut.
Tap an assigned key to replace it with a new app.

Tap the app that you want to assign to the key.

Press HOME , and then open the slide-out keyboard.
and then open the slide-out keyboard.
5.
Press and hold the Search key and then press the key you’ve
assigned to open the app.
