Removing and replacing a hot-plug power supply
CAUTION:
To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all
bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
Procedure

If installed,

3. Access the product rear panel

4.
Release the power cord from the strain relief strap.
5.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
6.
Remove the power supply.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the power supply or
power supply blank to cool before touching it.
