1/16 Tape SuperLoader Reference Guide

DCA

The drive carrier assembly (DCA) is configured with a DLT1 tape drive. The DCA 
facilitates the easy removal of the drive. To change tape drives, you can replace the 
DCA without having to remove the top cover of the SuperLoader.

Barcode Reader

The barcode reader is optional. It provides inventory feedback to the host 
application and/or LCD panel by reading the cartridge barcode labels. The 
SuperLoader stores the customized inventory data in its non-volatile memory.

For best performance, HP recommends using only HP barcode labels, part number 
C9240-67903.

Supported Software

The SuperLoader supports Microsoft Windows NT when using a backup 
application and Windows 2000 both in native mode and with a backup 
application.

The SuperLoader is also compatible with most popular backup software 
applications, including Computer Associates ArcServe and VERITAS 
BackupExec.

Note:  

Check with your operating system supplier and your backup software vendor to 

verify which version is required for this SuperLoader.
