Installing a Non-Hot-Plug Expansion Board
1. Power down the server ("Powering Down the Server" on page 37).
2. Extend the server from the rack, if applicable ("Extending the Server from
the Rack" on page 38).
3. Remove the access panel ("Removing the Access Panel" on page 40).
4. Remove the PCI riser cage ("Removing the PCI Riser Cage" on page 40).
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the server or expansion
boards, power down the server and remove all AC power cords before
removing or installing the PCI riser cage.
5. Remove the expansion slot cover for expansion slot 1 ("Removing
Expansion Slot Cover 1" on page 91).
6. Unlock the PCI retaining clip.
