Using Logging To Identify Problem Sources
Shows that Syslog (Destination) logging is
enabled and transmitting log messages to IP
address 18.120.38.155. Also shows that the
logging facility is set to
user
(the default), and
that session logging is enabled.)
Disables Syslog logging (but retains the
Syslog IP address in the switch
configuration). Does not affect Session
logging.
Shows Syslog (Destination) logging now
disabled. Session logging continues to
operate.

Viewing Debug (Syslog and Session) Status.
Use these commands to
determine the current debug configuration and status:
Syntax
:
show < config | running >
Lists the current startup-config or running-config file, with
any currently configured IP addresses for SyslogD servers.
The configured Syslog server IP
addresses appear in the switch’s
configuration file, even if Syslog
logging is disabled.
