Chapter 6

Replacing Parts

Replacing the Flexible Disk Drive

CD-ROM

Removing the CD-ROM

1. If the NetServer is operating, power down the NetServer.

2. Disconnect the power cord and any external cables connected to the NetServer. If necessary,

label each one to expedite re-assembly.

3. Undo the six thumbscrews securing the cover to the chassis.

4. Remove the cover.

5. Remove the bezel.

6. At the rear of the CD-ROM, carefully disconnect the power and data cables.

7. Remove the four screws, located on the chassis sides, securing the CD-ROM to the chassis.

8. Pull the CD-ROM forward and out of the chassis.

9. Place the CD-ROM in an anti-static bag.
