Hitch Adjustment & Maintenance
The front hitch of a seed wagon has a few options for hitching to the rear hitch of a planting system.
There are typical Thru-Hole Drop Pin type hitches, and Ball Head type hitches.
The Thru-Hole type will not require any adjustment or maintenance, except height location desired
based on planting system.
The Ball Head type hitches do require some adjustment and maintenance. First you must identify the
two types of available ball type hitches.
PN 00340446 – Ball Coupling, CPL. 80MM PN 95120740 – Ball Coupling, 80MM –
Pivoting Flanged
Follow the adjustment and maintenance procedures below in regards to the ball head type couplings.
Adjustment:
It is mandatory to carry out and regularly check the adjustment of the hold-down
of the ball head coupling prior to each use.
Adjust hold-down assembly to 0.5mm (0.020”) Use a sheet of standard white paper or a feeder gauge.
