1. Remove the circlips and pins (A) of the hold-down securing it to the casting.
2. Remove the hold-down assembly (B) from the ball carrier casting.
3. By turning the adjusting screw (C) adjust the height of the hold-down as necessary.
4. Reinsert the hold-down in to the ball carrier.
5. Move the hold-down over the ball coupling (D) and secure it with the hold-down pins
and circlips.
IMPORTANT! AVOID DAMAGE. THE HOLD-DOWN MUST NOT BE SET TOO
TIGHT! THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE A PRECISE SPACING OF 0.5MM (0.020”)
BETWEEN THE HOLD-DOWN AND THE TRAILER HITCH BALL COUPLING.
Maintenance:
Foam Ring Lubrication
Keep foam ring intact as a dust filter. Apply grease to ball and trailer hitch regularly.
