Service and maintenance
Please observe the safety notes on
care and maintenance.
Your machine has been designed and built to
offer maximum performance, economy and
operator friendliness under a vast variety of
operating conditions.
Before delivery the machine was examined in
the factory and by your dealer to make sure that
it is in optimal condition.
For trouble free operation it is very important to
carry out the necessary work for care and main-
tenance in the recommended intervals.
Cleaning work
When performing cleaning work wear the re-

bearings are not water proof under high
pressure.
Clean the outside of the machine with water.
Empty and dismantle the metering unit, clean
with air and brush and check for wear.
Clean seed hopper and seed tubes with
compressed air and brush.
When using fertilizer clean and rinse the
components thoroughly. These substances
are highly abbrasive and can cause corro-
sion.
Maintenance intervals
The maintenance intervals are determined by
conditions and type of soil have and effect on
maintenance intervals, but factors like the
quality of lubricants and cleaning agents used
on the machine also determine the period until
the next maintenance task.
only serve as a reference.
In case of deviations from normal operating
conditions the intervals for the necessary main-
tenance tasks must be adapted accordingly.
Storage
If the machine is to be shut down for a long
period of time:
If possible store the machine under a roof and
secure it against rolling away.
Completely empty and clean the seed hop-
pers and the metering chambers.
Unplug the job computers
and store these in a dry place.
Remove the metering units and store them
in a dry place.
Don’t rest the machine on the firming wheels.
Relieve closing wheels from any load.
Spray the piston rods with an anti-corrosion
agent.
Protect the machine against corrosion. For
spray coating use only biodegradable oils.
Do not spray plastic parts with lubri-
cants or rust remover. These parts
will become brittle and break.
Clean out seed tank, fertilizer tank and
SOD manifolds.
Run antifreeze through the liquid fertilizer
system to insure that system does not freeze.
