Do Cam switches A and B work?

■ Check that L2 LED on the QPW-968 control board
lights when the actuator of the Cam switch A is
pressed. Also check that L3 LED on the QPW-968
lights when the actuator of the Cam switch B is
pressed.
• If the LEDs light, go to (1).
• If the LEDs do not lights, go to (2)

) Though the Cam switches A and B are working correctly,
the signals are not correctly processed on the QPW-968
control board. Replace the QPW-968.

) Check the wiring/connection between the Cam switches
A and B and the QPW-968 control board. If this is nor-
mal, check the switches. Go to the right column.
Were Cutting buttons released when knife was at lower limit?

Description
If one of the Cam switches A and B (See the right column.) is
defective, system error 8 or 9 occurs and the machine stops.
Even after the machine stops, the machine keeps beeping until
the cause is corrected. Turn off the power, wait 10 seconds, and
turn it on again to stop the beeping sound.
The
LED on the monitor remains lit.

■ Check how the Cam switches A and B (S03 and
S04) are mounted. Check that the actuators of
S03 and S04 are not pressed when the knife
is at the upper limit. Then, lower the knife and
stop the knife when S03 and S04 are pressed.
(Slide the notch of the contactor to lower the
knife.) Check that the actuators can be pressed in
more deeply by 0.3 to 0.4 mm (0.012 to 0.016”.)
■ Check the Cam switches. Remove the terminals from
S03 and S04, and check electric continuity on the termi-
nals on the switches. If you do not see continuity when
the actuators is not pressed, and you see continuity when
the actuators is pressed, the switch is normal.
