Engine oil change
How to change the oil:
If you drain the oil immediately after stopping the engine, its
temperature will be high and may cause burns.
If the engine oil is dirty, engine wear will occur more rapidly. Change
the oil at designated intervals. Maintain the oil at the proper level.
OIL CHANGE INTERVAL: First month or 20 hrs., or every year, before
operation.
Use 5W-30 4-stroke motor oil that meets or
exceeds the requirements for API service
classification SE or later (or equivalent).
Always check the API service label on the oil
container to be sure it includes the letters SE or
later (or equivalent).
RECOMMENDED OIL:
QUANTITY SPECIFIED:
1.10 L (1.16 US qt, 0.97 lmp qt)
Place the snowblower on a level surface.
Remove the engine oil filler cap, drain bolt, and sealing washer.
Drain the oil while the engine is still warm to assure rapid and
complete draining.
Install a new sealing washer and drain bolt and tighten the bolt
securely.
Fill with new oil (see page
) up to the upper limit, as indicated by
the oil filler gauge. (In checking the oil level with the oil filler gauge,
do not screw the gauge in.)
After replacing the oil, securely tighten the engine oil filler cap.
