A fuel isolation valve isolates the carry-through tank from the fuselage 
tank. The valve is commanded OPEN on-ground for refueling operations 
and is CLOSED at all other times to isolate the fuselage tank pressure 
head from the C/T tank. The valve is controlled automatically by aircraft 
avionics.  Valve remains open on the ground, until commanded closed 
after first engine start.
