Electronic card operation check
a. Card supply
To make this test it is necessary to have:
1. The key in the «ON» position
2. The CN 1 connector inserted into the card [1] and the CN
2 and CN 3 connectors disconnected [2].
In this situation, the battery warning light should come on, and
all the others should remain off.
Turning on the lights switch, all the lights should come on,
together with the relative warning lights.
b. Security and service check
This check is done with the tester in the Voltmeter function (Volt
DC O ÷ 20), with the black test prod to earth and the red test
prod on the following CN 2 and CN 3 connector terminals on
the card [3].
Grass catcher attached
micro switch
= Terminal 11
Seat switch
= Terminal 15
Brake switch
= Terminal 19
Blade switch
= Terminal 19
In neutral signal
= Terminal 9
Grass-catcher full microswitch
= Terminal 22
Petrol reserve indicator
= Terminal 15
The reading indicates the battery voltage.
c. Warning light trial
Making a bridge between the following CN 2 and CN 3
connector terminals
of the card
[4], the following lights should
come on:
Grassbox light
= Terminal 11 - 13
Seat light
= Terminal 15 - 17
Brake light
= Terminal 18 - 19
Blade light
= Terminal 19 - 20
Petrol reserve light
= Terminal 15 - 14
Oil light
= Terminal 10 - Earth
d. Reset protection operation check
For this test, provide the same conditions as for at point [a]:
In this situation the battery warning light should come on, and
all the other lights remain off. Connecting the 19 terminal
of
the card’s
CN 3 connector to the frame’s earth [5], everything
should turn off and the alarm should be set off.
