C O N T I N U I T Y T E S T
NOTE
It is not necessary to remove the stator
to make this test.
Continuity test:
There should be c o n t i n u i t y between the three
lead wires: pink-white, white-yellow, and yel-
low-pink of the stator coil.
Insulation test:
There may be no continuity between white,
yellow, or pink wire and ground.
• R E C T I F I E R I N S P E C T I O N
Check c o n t i n u i t y through the rectifier w i t h a
volt-ohmmeter or c o n t i n u i t y tester.
NOTE
Perform the rectifier inspection, noting
the polarity of the tester. Do not test
w i t h a megger. (High voltage damages the
diodes.)

Continuity should exist according to the f o l -
lowing table. When (+) and ( - ) are exchanged,
