5. Installation and commissioning
5.1. General
To avoid damage to the recirculation pump during installa-
tion and operation, the following points must be observed:
•
The installation work must be carried out by qualified
personnel in compliance with safety regulations.
•
The recirculation pump must be inspected for possi-
ble damage prior to installation.
•
Protect the agitator against frost.
•
The operating room must be specifically designed
for the machine. Accordingly, it must be possible to
install a hoist for assembly/disassembly with which
the installation point of the recirculation pump can be
safely reached.
•
The hoist must demonstrate a maximum weight-bear-
ing capacity that exceeds the weight of the recircula-
tion pump with its attached parts and cables.
•
The power lines of the recirculation pump must be
laid in such away as to enable safe operation and sim-
ple assembly and disassembly.
•
The power lines in the operating room must be cor-
rectly secured in order to prevent the cables from
hanging loose. A cable holder must be attached every
2-3m according to cable length and weight.
•
The foundation/building must have adequate structur-
al strength to secure the recirculation pump in a safe
and functional manner. The operator is responsible
for this.
•
A dry run is strictly prohibited.
5.2. Installation
Danger of falling!
During the installation of the recirculation pump and
its accessories, work is done directly at the edge of
the pool! Inattentiveness or incorrect footwear may
cause a fall. Danger of death! Follow all safety pre-
cautions in order to prevent this.
Installation of the guide tube
The discharge line and the required flange DIN 2631 PN6
should be installed on site prior to installation of the guide
tube. The DIN flange should be installed axle-free. That is
to say that the flange bores must lay symmetrically next
to the central perpendicular axle of the flange. Ensure that
the DIN-Flange is sufficiently secured in concrete.
Set holder (7) in position on the DIN flange, determine
the position, then make two threaded holes M12 in the
flange. Then attach the bracket (7) on the DIN flange and
fasten the spring washer with two cylinder screws (8).
Set position of pipe tensioner (1) vertically above the
bracket (7) and mount it with safety plugs (4) but do not
yet tighten screws (2). Position the guide tube next to the
receiving cone of the holder (7) and set final guide tube
length, measuring to the cone top of the pipe tensioner
(1) Cut guide tube (6) to the appropriate length and place
it on the cone of the holder (7). Press pipe clamps (1) into
the top of the guide tube (6) so that no play remains in a
vertical orientation and screw in hexagon bolts with spring
washers.
Draining of the recirculation pump
Suspend recirculation pump with the guide tube on the
shaft below according to the drawing and lower until con-
nection. In doing this, feed in the motor connection lead.
The motor connection lead must be attached to the
chain or the steel cable of the recirculation pump to
ensure that it can not find its way into the propeller
and is not subjected to tension. After lowering the
recirculation pump, the chain or the steel cable must
be released.
