 The plug of an electrical tool must strictly correspond to the
socket. Do not use any adapters together with earthed electric
tools
 Each time you work with an electrically operated machine, caution
is advised! There is a risk of electric shock, fire, cutting injury;
 Protect the machine from dampness (causing a short circuit)
 Use power tools and machines never in the vicinity of flammable
liquids and gases (danger of explosion)
 Check the cable regularly for damage
 When working with the machine outdoors, use extension cables
suitable for outoor use
 Do not use the cable to carry the machine or to fix the work piece
 Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges

Avoid body contact with earthed
 Before starting the machine remove any adjusting wrenches and
screwdrivers
 Hold the workpiece good with both hands
 Rotating parts can cause severe cut injuries
 Keep any machine that is not being used out of reach of children

Emergency procedure
A first aid kit in accordance with DIN 13164 should always be readily
available for a possible accident. Initiate the violation in accordance with
the necessary first aid measures. When requesting support, provide the
following details:
1. Place of accident 2. Type of accident
3. Number of injured people 4. Injury type(s)
12.3 Safety devices of KOS 3000C
 Free roller guard
It prevents the contact with the rotating sanding belt. The side table can be height adjusted and
locked in the adjusted position. It is fitted with aspiration end for connection to the extraction
system.
 Sanding dust extractor
It collects the dust from sanding and has an end for connection to the extraction system. The
dust ex-tractor covers the driving roller and prevents the access to the rotating roller.
 Table rise adjustment and locking in the adjusted position
It gives a possibility to work with a part of the sanding belt only and protects from contact with
the lower part of the belt which is not in use.
 Turning fence
It serves for support and correct guiding depending on the required angle of feeding
 Dynamically balanced working rollers
They decrease the vibrations and provide a good surface for sanding
