Operation manual monty 3300/2-speed/GP
1.4
Description of operation
Rim clamping, tower tilting and mounting/demounting
tool locking in the operating position are pneumatic
operations.
The turntable with four adjustable jaws is driven by an
electric motor using a V-belt and worm reduction unit.
The turntable can be operated at two speeds, with a
pedal for switching between them.
Machine movements are controlled using pedals
arranged in a control unit.
The mounting/demounting tool is pneumatically locked
in the correct operating position relative to the rim,
using a manual control valve incorporated in the locking
lever on the mounting arm.
For wheel clamping and unclamping, the entire tower
with mounting/demounting tool and mounting arm can
be tilted back, without changing the operating position
set. This means wheels of identical size can be handled
one after another without the need for repeated
readjustment of the mounting/demounting tool. The
tower is simply tilted again to the respective operating
position on the rim flange.
A pneumatic bead breaker for rapidly breaking the
bead of tyres fitting tightly to the rim without causing
damage is incorporated in the machine and is part of
the standard kit.
For tyre inflation the machine has a pedal-operated
tyre inflating device.
monty GP
Monty 3300 GP tyre changer operation and use are
identical to those of the monty 3300. The only
difference compared with monty 3300 GP is the added
pedal-operated tyre inflating device and bead seating
with powerful air jets (for bead seating tubeless tyres)
For fitting, operation and use of the inflating device
see § 10. Inflating a tyre.
monty 3300 2-speed 24/ monty 3300 2-speed 24GP
With the 2-speed versions the chuck can be operated
with two speeds (Fig. 1, Item 12).
Furthermore these machines have the added
possibility to readjust the bead breaker blade (Fig. 7).
The monty 3300 2-speed GP is furthermore provided
with the GP tyre inflating system as specified above.
