3. Chassis 25

Never leave the vehicle when the transmission is in neutral
(N).

If you want to select fi

rst gear when in reverse gear (R) or

vice versa, the gearshift lever may only be moved when the
vehicle is standing completely still and you are pressing down

the brake pedal.

For  further  information,  please  refer  to  the  operating  in

-

structions for the base vehicle. Please familiarise yourself

suffi

ciently with the operation of the automatic transmission

before you use your vehicle for the fi

rst time.

Drive Mode
Three different operational modes can be set:

- Normal
- Power (if carrying a full load or driving down a steep descent)
- Eco

-  The on-board electronic system ensures that the drive

mode set will achieve the best performance.

-  The activated mode is shown on the dashboard.
-  After the vehicle has been started, the system is always set

to the normal function.

If the vehicle is not moving and you have already selected a

gear, always press the brake pedal until you have decided to

start driving. Only then should you release the brake pedal
and slowly step on the gas pedal.

If the vehicle is not moving and the engine is running for

a longer period of time, we recommend that you select to

neutral (N).

Do not use the gas pedal as a means of holding the vehicle
in one spot (e.g. on a slope). Instead, use the brake pedal and
step on the gas only when you start to drive.
