Chapter 3: Chassis
3.1 General Information
The chassis includes parts of the frame and the axles. No technical
changes may be made, as otherwise the general type approval
will no longer apply or be valid!
Technical changes may only be carried out after being released
by the manufacturer.
For further information, please refer to the enclosed operating
instructions for the basic vehicle.
3.2 Vehicle identi
fi
cation number (VIN)
The 17-digit vehicle ID number has been applied to the inner
wheel arch on the passenger's side.
To identify it more easily, the VIN can also be found on a label
on the nearside of the windsreen at the bottom, which is legible
from outside the vehicle. In addition, the VIN is also given on
the type plate of the base vehicle as well as on the Hobby type
plate (on the right-hand B-pillar, located in the middle above the
lock on the door).
Always have your VIN at hand whenever you have a question
or visit your dealer/service partner.
