This section describes how to route and connect the two types of cables to be
connected to GR2000, i.e., input power cables and interface cables.
6.4.1
General Rules for Routing and Connection of Cables
Regardless of the kind of cables, the following must be observed when you route and
connect the cables:
Protect cables by running them through a duct or by using a braid. Especially for
optical fiber cables, a cord bend radius of at least 100mm in length and 50mm in
breadth and a metal braid should be used.
For an optical fiber cord, leave a 3m length of cord for maintenance. Wind the
rest of the cord and store it near the router.
If an optical fiber cord and other types of interface cables coexist, do not stress
the optical fiber cord.
On a floor-installed GR2000 model of medium scale or large scale, do not route a
cable in such a manner that the cable obstructs the board replacement on the
own model. Route the cable properly as shown in Figure 6-40.
On a rack-mounted GR2000 model of small scale through large scale, do not
route a cable in such a manner that the cable obstructs the board replacement
