In these operating instructions, the AG 230-S diamond cutter is referred to as "the
tool".

The type designation and serial number can be found on the rating plate on the tool.
Make a note of this data in your operating instructions and always refer to it when
making an enquiry to your Hilti representative or service department.

2. Description
2.1 Electronic regulation and control
2.1.1 Starting current regulator
(only 230V version)
The current drawn by the tool at the moment it is switched on is many times that of
its rated current input. The starting current regulator (resistor) reduces this starting
current greatly, thus preventing the electric power supply fuse from tripping. It also
ensure that the tool starts smoothly, without a jolt.
