D. Install the Stones and Lava Rock

lation.

4. Remove rock placement jig. Ensure that the stones
are approximately 1/4 inch from the burner tube slot.

Keep stones and lava
rock out of reach of children.
1. Ensure rock placement jig is in place before beginning
placement of stones. Remove log locating pins if
installed. The number of pins will vary depending on
the model. Use a Phillips screwdriver. Figure 11.2
shows location of pins and jig.

• Place stones according to instructions.
• Do NOT place stones on burner top.
• Do NOT place stones in a position that they may fall into
area in front of pilot.
• Do NOT use more than 30 stones per

3. Place stones on the base pan in a random manner as
shown in Figure 11.4. DO NOT place rocks on the rock
placement jig. You may have extra stones depending
on the look desired.
2. Place a thin layer of lava rock on the base pan. Do
NOT place on burner top. See Figure 11.3.
WARNING! Risk of Explosion!
DO NOT place lava rock
on burner top. Improperly placed lava rock interferes with
proper burner operation.
