Gear shift system
WARNING
Risk of accident and injury!
Distraction and faulty switch operation can lead to acci-
dents in road traffic.
• Ensure you are familiar with the functions of the gear
shift system (see chapter “Before cycling for the first
time”).
• Operate the gear shift system only if this does not
distract your attention from the road traffic.
• Stop immediately if you are unable to use the gear shift
system safely, e.g. if it malfunctions.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Incorrect use of the gear shift system can damage it.
• When shifting gears, do not pedal hard.
• When shifting gears, do not pedal backwards.
• Shift down the gears in a timely fashion before ascents.
• If you are unsure about how to operate the gear shift system,
consult your specialist dealer for an explanation.
Gear hub
NuVinci (continuous) – mechanical
• To shift up the gears continuously, turn the twist grip shifter
to the back.
The indicator will move in the direction “Level”
(see
Figure B-14
).
• To shift down the gears continuously, turn the twist grip
shifter forwards.
