Cable
A cable (087-115028-001) is required to connect the Keypad to the radio’s
KEYPAD (RJ-45) serial port. This cable can also be used to connect the radio to
the 9-pin serial port on a VT-100 terminal or a PC with emulator.
Setting Up a PC with Emulator
The following is an example of how to set up the PC to communicate with the
radio.
From the Windows-based desktop, click on the
Start button and select
Programs
Accessories
Communication
or Hyperterminal
In the dialog boxes that appear on the screen, type or select the correct
information.
In the
Flow control
box, select
None
.
