Upgrades
Preparing for Download
1.
Connect an appropriate null modem cable from the COM1 port of a PC to
an appropriate port in the customer access area (
) of the
Constellation radio.
•
FSCAN (FarScan) port (DE-9) or
•
MONITOR port (RJ-45) (J33) or
•
VERSATILITY port (RJ-45) (J20).

Ensure that no other applications are running on
the PC with the selected COM port, such as PDA
Hot Sync, Laplink, and so forth.
2.
Insert the software upgrade disk into the disk drive.
3.
Double-click the Harris file named
Install.exe
to unzip it to a folder
location that you can easily recall.
4.
Open the folder where the files were unzipped. The following is displayed.
