SDJ – Series
Duplication, even in parts, is not permissible.
10. It is prohibited to take people along or to let the same stand on the fork.
11. Do not reach into moving parts. Please only operate the platform floor truck using the drawbar handle.
When moving the platform floor truck, please observe to not to put your fingers into the gap above and
below the drawbar lever.
12. When moving the platform floor truck, please always observe the high mass that is moving. In case of
emergency you have to decelerate this weight with pure muscle force. The stopping distance will
become longer the higher the weight of the load. Thus, always drive slowly and anticipatory.
13. When lifting the platform floor lift with a crane, please never stand below or near the suspended load. If
possible, always maintain a distance of several metres.
14. Please have repair works implemented by qualified specialised personnel only.
15. If the platform floor truck is disassembled after having reached the end of its lifetime, please have the
aforementioned implemented by qualified specialised personnel only. During disassembly, please be
aware of stored energy in form of spring force (pump spring) when removing the drawbar.
16. Please observe the temperature range of the device. In the worst case, using the device in locations
that are too hot or too cold may result in failures on the device and in hypothermia/frostbites or
burns/skin irritations with the user.
17. Worn or faulty parts may result in an increased noise level and, thus, in an impairment of the hearing
ability. Please replace worn or faulty parts prematurely.
18. When handling the consumables, please always wear the appropriate protective clothing. Never ingest
consumables and please observe that these materials do not make contact with the floor or with
locations of the device they should not be in. If the aforementioned happens nevertheless, remove the
same properly so that no slippery surfaces will result. Please also read the safety datasheet on the
corresponding consumable as regards to handling consumables.
19. Only physically and mentally capable persons may use the platform floor truck. Please always observe
your physical limits. Depending on the ambient temperature, the weight of the goods to be moved, the
quantity of the orders, the number and duration of the breaks, and your own fitness, each worker has
his own individual limits. Please always observe your condition and make a sufficient number of breaks.
Inattentiveness and symptoms of fatigue easily result in errors with partially severe consequences.
20. Please always be attentive and careful when working with the device. Please observe your environment
and avoid hazardous situations, collisions, accidents, and almost-accidents by handling the device in a
considerate manner.
21. Improper use on lumpy or soft underground or underground the load-carrying ability of which is too low
may result in severe accidents and injuries. Before accessing the underground, please always check
that the same is characterised by sufficient load-carrying ability (for example elevators, loading ramps,
trailers) and that the same is secured/paved sufficiently and, thus, cannot skid or slide away when
accessing the same (loading ramp / trailer).
22. Please only move secured goods at all times. If applicable, attach the goods to protect the same
against dislocating or falling down. This is applicable to both moving the goods and working on
suspended goods.
23. Please be particularly careful when transporting moving loads (e.g. fluids). Kinetic energy and vibrations
that may be transferred to the load by manoeuvring, accelerating, decelerating, or operating the pump
several times may instigate easily and endanger the stability of the device and of the load. The higher
the load was lifted the stronger the influence on the stability of the platform floor truck.
