ASSIGNABLE DRAWBARS (S)
This is for switching whether or not to assign special MIDI functions to the Lower Manual
“B” Drawbar set.
OFF:
Normal function
ON::
Allows the “B” Drawbars to send MIDI messages to a connected MIDI device.

ASSIGN - FOOTAGE (S)
This allows you to select the functions to assign to specific Drawbars. Each Drawbar is indi-
cated by its footage designation.
You can select the Drawbars to assign either by the [VALUE] Rotary Knob or by moving the
Drawbar you wish to edit.

ASSIGN - EXTERNAL ZONE (G)
This allows you to set the External Zone corresponding with the Drawbar selected in step

This allows you to set the Control Change number corresponding with the Drawbar selected

The setting range is “1:MOD” -- “95:PHASER.”
NOTE: The designation, “PHASER” refers to a MIDI Continuous Controller, not to the
Phaser Multi-Effect.

DISPLAY - SHORT CUT (G)
This allows you to set the short cut waiting time.
The setting range is “0” to “2” seconds. At “NO,” the Shortcut feature is disabled.

DISPLAY - TIME OUT (G)
This allows you to set the time for returning to the previous mode from the mode displayed
by the short cut operation.
The setting range is “4” to “16” seconds. At “NO,” the screen will not return to the previous
mode.

DISPLAY - POP UP (G)
This allows you to set the interval at which the Pop Up is displayed when you move the
[OVERDRIVE], [EFFECT] and [REVERB] Rotary Knobs.
The setting range is “0.5” to “2” seconds. At “NO,” no Pop Up is displayed.
NOTE: The parameter indicated by (P) is a Patch Parameter, and can be recorded to each
Patch. (G) indicates a Global Parameter, which is recorded upon being set and is common
to all Patches. For a complete listing of all Patch and Global Parameters, please consult
the APPENDIX at the back of this Guide.
ASSIGNABLE DRAWBARS
The XK-5 can control the external MIDI equip-
ment using the External Zone (P. 131).
In that case, the function to use the LOWER “B”
Drawbar set to send various control changes is
called “ASSIGNABLE DRAWBAR.”
The Lower Manual Drawbar registration is
adjusted with the “A#” Drawbar set when the
“B” Drawbar set is programmed as Assignable
Drawbar.
