Web Interface
This section is contains a brief overview of the hydroSpider’s web interface by including descriptions
and screenshots of important pages. The rest of this manual will reference the pages covered in this
chapter, so it is worth reviewing.
4.1
Connecting to the hydroSpider
In order to be able to access the hydroSpider’s web interface and configure the unit, you must first
connect the hydroSpider to your PC. A Halytech LANlink cable, pictured below, is required to connect
the hydroSpider to a PC.
1.
Power up the hydroSpider as described in 2.6.2 - Connecting power. The hydroSpider will
not communicate with you unless it is powered up.
2.
Turn on your computer and disconnect it from all networks, including any wireless networks.
3.
Plug the round hydroSpider-end of the LANlink cable into the Comms port of the
hydroSpider.
4.
Plug the connectors on the Computer-end of the LANlink cable into your computer’s LAN
and USB ports.
5.
Wait 30 seconds for the hydroSpider to power up and register with your computer.

Open a browser (eg: Internet Explorer) on your computer and request the following address:

The hydroSpider Log In page should be displayed.
You have successfully connected to your hydroSpider. Please refer to 4.2 - Logging in for further
instructions.
