Any wiring required to a junction box (for brake lamp
power supply) must be fully approved for use on an
ADR vehicle.
The cable length from the junction box to the
ISO 12098 connector must not exceed 4 metres.

Auxiliary connections

It is the installers responsibility to ensure that with any
auxiliary component ﬁtted, the connector and cable
must be sealed in accordance with ADR requirements.

Towing vehicles

Towing vehicles in categories EX / III and FL must have
a battery master switch ﬁtted so that all electrical loads
including the trailer, are connected to the non-battery
side of the master switch.
