The Diverter is the key component which allows
low water use, by alternating water to the lower
spray arm or mid spray arm, bottle wash (some
models) and upper spray system.
The lower portion of the diverter is molded into
the sump. Shown below is the bottom side of the
diverter top. Notice the bypass notch in the upper
spray system port.
Operation
• The “Bypass” allows water to bypass the
check ball in the diverter as described in
the next step. The dishwasher is in Off or
Standby mode, no pump operation. The
check ball is at the bottom of the diverter.

Clamp Removal Tip
: Use a small screw-driver
inserted into the ear of the clamp and move the
handle back and forth to loosen the clamp. The
clamp can be removed and discarded when the
