DECORATING, ADDING WATER AND INHABITANTS TO YOUR AQUARIUM
DO NOT
place hands, décor or introduce any inhabitants into the aquarium without removing at least 25% of the water volume as the displacement will over flow the aquarium water, and
may cause damage to the unit or the support surface.
Warning:
Since water is employed with the use of an aquarium, do not place aquarium on surfaces that can be damaged by water.
1.
Rinse ornaments and gravel (sold separately) to remove any debris before adding to your aquarium.
2.
Add gravel to the aquarium.
3.
Fill the aquarium up to half its height with room temperature water and decorate with plants, rocks etc. Ensure that the vents on the front of the filter module are not blocked by any type of décor.
4.
Add the entire bottle contents of the
Fluval Biological Enhancer
and
Fluval Water Conditioner
(included) to the aquarium water.
Fluval Biological Enhancer
is a densely
concentrated solution of good bacteria which helps the aquarium to mature more quickly.
Fluval Water Conditioner
eliminates traces of chlorine and other harmful metals contained in
your tap water.
5.
Add more water, leaving enough room to float the inhabitants in their plastic bag until they acclimatise to the temperature of the aquarium water.
6.
Introducing fish:
•
DO NOT ADD FISH IMMEDIATELY.
Wait 3-4 days before introducing fish so that the water temperature has a chance to stabilize
• Acclimatize fish before introducing them into the aquarium. Simply float the bag containing the fish in the aquarium to regulate water temperature in the bag and reduce the risk of stressing
your fish. It is not recommended to pour the water from the baginto the aquarium
• Consult with your fish dealer for recommended ACCENT friendly species.
• Allow a minimum of 3 litres (1 US Gal.) for every 1 cm (0.5”) of fish, excluding the tail. Fish are usually sold as juveniles, so you will need to allow some extra space for your fish to grow.
• Once all gravel, decor and inhabitants have been added, top up the aquarium with water (see Illus. A).
7.
Feeding fish:
• Once your fish have been introduced into the tank, avoid feeding them for 24 hours. Thereafter, it is essential that you

. The standard rule of thumb is to feed
them only as much as they can completely consume in two minutes, once a day.

traitement de l’eau Fluval
(compris) et du
renforçateur biologique Fluval
(également compris) dans l’eau de l’aquarium. Le
renforçateur biologique Fluval
est une solution extrêmement concentrée de bactéries bénéfiques qui diminue le temps nécessaire pour apprêter l’eau d’un aquarium aux
besoins des organismes vivants. Quant au
traitement de l’eau Fluval
, celui-ci élimine le chlore et les métaux lourds nocifs présents dans l’eau du robinet.
5.
Ajouter de l’eau à l’aquarium, en laissant suffisamment d’espace pour que les poissons puissent flotter dans leur sac de plastique, jusqu’à ce qu’ils se soient acclimatés à la température de
l’eau de l’aquarium.
