We congratulate you on having purchased this „euroline® product“. This sharp edge rope „EDGER“ has been manufactured and
controlled with a great deal of care and under very rigorous quality criteria. So the requirements for safe use have been observed.
Now it is up to you to use this product in the CORRECT way!
THEREFORE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE CAREFULLY
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Please keep these instructions for use with the product, so you will be able to refer to them
in case of problems and fill in the TEST SHEET on the last page carefully. In case of necessary repairs or complaints it is absolutely
essential to send us this test sheet together with the product. The sharp edge rope EDGER helps towards the safety of people in
areas at risk from falling from a height (especially in areas, where you must expect falls over a sharp edge). It may be used only by
people who have the physical and mental capabilities as well as the necessary knowledge (INSTRUCTION according to point 2.4) for
safe use. In order to allow the fastest possible rescue of casualties after a fall from a height or any other accident, it is necessary to
have an emergency plan, which considers the rescue measures for all possible cases of emergency during work.

Safety notes
The anchor point from which the equipment is fixed to, should when possible be vertically above the user (in order to prevent swinging
in case of a fall from a height) and has to meet the requirements of EN 795 (minimum soundness of 10 kN = 1,000 KG). Please
take special care that no sharp edges endanger the anchor device as well as the safe locking of all connectors (karabiners) and their
authorisation according to EN 362.
The position of the anchor point should always be chosen in a way that the fall distance is limited to a minimum.
Take care that the fall zone is calculated so that the user does not fall onto an obstacle in case of a fall from a height and that impact
on the ground is impossible.

Regulations for the holder of the equipment
Personal protective equipment should be at the disposal of one individual user. Immediately after each use, a visual inspection of
the PPE has to be carried out in order to guarantee that it is in working order. A product which no longer seems safe, must in case of
doubt
NOT BE USED
anymore and should be replaced immediately.
Please note especially:
•
Damage to supporting parts, which are essential for safety, such as ropes, webbings and seams (tears, cuts or other)
•
Damage to plastic and/or metal fittings
This inspection may only be omitted if the product is part of emergency equipment and has been inspected and put into a closed
(sealed) container by a competent person. Observe the label for the next regular inspection and the maximum period of use
(according to item 3).
2.1 Periodic inspection
A visual inspection of the PPE must be carried out
at least once a year
(the frequency of such an inspection depends on the type and
intensity of use) by a COMPETENT PERSON. This visual inspection must include the determination of wear and tear.

have to be entered on the test sheet (last page!). Labels or markings must not be removed from the product in order to always
guarantee the traceability of the product.
2.2 Care, storage and transport of the PPE
For cleaning a soft brush (dry or damp) is ideal.
Webbings and ropes can also be cleaned with lukewarm water (max. 40° C) and mild soapsuds by hand. Then rinse in cold water and
let it dry in a well ventilated, dry and shady place (never tumble dry or dry over a direct source of heat). The PPE has to be kept and
transported under dry conditions and protected from mechanic damage, chemical influence (e.g. of chemicals, oil, solutions and other
aggressive substances) as well as from heat sources (ambient temperature/not in direct sunlight) in a bag or container.
2.3 Repair
Eventual repair, modification or additions to the PPE generally have to be carried out exclusively by the manufacturer.
2.4 Training/Instruction
We are pleased to inform you about training for INSTRUCTIONS or COMPETENT PERSONS.
3
Application period
The lifetime of this safety products is basically dependent on the type and frequency of application as well as conditions of use,
care in maintenance and storage, and can therefore not be universally defined. Products manufactured from man-made fibres (e.g.
polyamide, polyester, aramid) are subject to ageing even if not used, depending in particular on the strength of ultraviolet radiation
and environmental influences.
Maximum lifetime 12 years
The maximum lifetime of euroline® plastic and textile products is 12 years from the date of manufacture, if not used and stored
optimally.
Maximum lifetime of 10 years
In case of occasional and appropriate use, without obvious wear, the maximum lifetime is 10 years from the date of first use.
Storage duration 2 years
The storage period before first use, without service life being diminished, is 2 years from date of manufacture.
