Mounting the access controller on a workbench
Follow these steps to mount the access controller on a workbench:
Step1
Before placing the access controller on a workbench, confirm the following preparations:
•
The workbench is sturdy enough to support the weight of the access controller and its accessories.
•
There are no obstacles on and around the workbench.
•
Move the access controller to the front of the workbench.
Step2
Place the access controller on the top of the table.
Connecting the grounding cable
WARNING!
For the safety of operators and equipment, securely ground the access controller.
Most cabinets are equipped with a grounding strip. You can connect the grounding wire (yellow-green
PGND cable) of the access controller to the grounding strip.
Follow these steps to connect the PGND cable:
Step1
Remove the grounding screw at the back of the chassis.
Step2
Put the supplied OT terminal of the PGND cable on the grounding screw.
Step3
Insert the grounding screw into the grounding hole and screw it down.
Step4
Connect the other end of the PGND cable to the grounding strip of the cabinet.
Step5
Secure the grounding cable on the grounding strip with a nut.
