Installing a CF card
IMPORTANT:
Before you boot the firewall, make sure the CF card with correct system software image has been correctly
installed into the CF card slot. Otherwise, the firewall cannot be booted.
To install a CF card:
1.
Examine the CF card LED. If the LED is flashing, the system is accessing the CF card. Perform the
next step until the LED stops flashing.
2.
Push the CF card eject button all the way into the slot and make sure the button does not project
from the panel.
3.
Insert the CF card into the slot following the direction shown in
, and make sure it does
not project from the slot.

Installing an interface module
IMPORTANT:
Do not plug or unplug the interface module when it is booting (RUN LED fast flashing). Otherwise,
abnormalities might occur.
The procedures for all interface modules are similar. The following uses an NSQ1GT8C40 as an
example.
To install an interface module:
1.
Locate the slot (slots 1 through 4) to install the interface module.
