Leakage
If leakage of chemical is evidenced from any of the areas as depicted
below, proceed as follows:
1.
Adjust the felt wiper in
accordance with the Service and
Maintenance Procedures.
2.
The gun screen and check valves
seal metal-to-metal seats.
Leakage will occur if these seats
are scratched, damaged or
contain a buildup of reacted
material.
3.
The mixing chamber seals in the
gun block by a tapered fit.
Leakage will occur if the mating
surfaces are scratched, damaged
or a buildup of mixed material
prevents proper seating.
4.
The chamber seal to the valving
rod is by an interference fit. If
leakage occurs around these
surfaces, the chamber and/or
valving rod should be replaced.
