Special Functions
Controlling recording from
external units
If the recorder is connected at socket EXT. 2 with an
external unit which is equipped with a timer with
control signal, the external unit can be used to con-
trol recording at the recorder.

Preparation
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time. Pay
attention to erase protection.

Preparing the EURO-AV socket for the
external unit
Call up the info table using the
h
button.
Use the
DC
buttons to select the » A 2 Record
Prepared « line and call it up using the
G
button.
– The » A 2 RECORD PREPARED « table appears.
Use the
F
or
E
button to activate the record
prepared function.
Store the setting using the
G
button.
– The recorder is in record stand-by mode. The
time of recording is controlled by the external
unit.

If this function has been selected, TIMER recording
and operation with a decoder are not possible.

To cancel the function, repeat the setting starting at

Starting continuous playback
Start the function using the

button on the recorder.
– The tape is rewound to the beginning, where play-
back starts.
The tape runs to the marked position. Then the
tape is rewound to the beginning and playback
starts again.
