Entering a stop time

Recording continues to the end of the tape.
But you can also enter a stop time. There are two
options for this:
Entering to the exact minute;
Entering in 30-minute steps.

Entering the stop time to the exact minute
Press the
K
button on the remote control or the
M
button on the recorder while recording.
Use the numbered buttons

to enter the
stop time as a four-digit number and confirm using
the
G
button.
– The remaining playing time, then the elapsed
playing time, the programme position, and the
station identification are indicated in the display.

Entering the stop time in 30-minute steps
Press the
K
button on the remote control or the
M
button on the recorder while recording.
Enter the required stop time while recording by
repeatedly pressing the
K
button on the remote
control or the
M
button on the recorder (max. 20
times = 600 minutes).

Changing the stop time
If the stop time is to be changed while recording,
press the
K
button on the remote control or the
M
button on the recorder. Use the numbered but-
tons

to enter the new stop time and con-
firm using the
G
button.

Assembling recordings with clean
joints (assembly editing)
During playback, locate the tape position where you
wish to join the new recording. Then press the
W
button on the remote control or the
U
button
on the recorder.
Use the
K
button on the remote control or the
M
button on the recorder to switch the recorder to
recording pause.
Use the numbered buttons

to enter the
desired station as a one- or two-digit number.
Use the
W
button on the remote control or the
U
button on the recorder to start the » new « recor-
ding.
– During playback you will see smooth joints with-
out any flaws. This is called assembly editing.
