5.4.
Control of the thermal capacity of the heating system.
The control of the thermal capacity of the heating system is performed by
adjustment of the thermal capacity of the electric hot water boiler of series
“ELTHERM”.
5.4.1.
Decreasing the thermal capacity of the boiler:
It is realized by switching the operating stages (i.e. the active electric
heaters)
off
, by the control switches, mounted on the control panel of the
boiler. Additionally the thermal capacity of the boiler could be decreased by
decreasing the set-point of either the set-point of the circulating water
temperature or the room thermostat set-point;
5.4.2.
Increasing the thermal capacity of the boiler:
It is realized by switching the operating stages (i.e. the active electric
heaters)
on
, by the control switches, mounted on the control panel of the
boiler. Additionally the net (i.e. time averaged) thermal capacity of the boiler
could be increased by increasing the set-point of either the set-point of the
circulating water temperature or the room thermostat set-point;
5.4.3.
Controlling thermal capacity of the heating system’s elements:
In case the heating system has hot water radiators, equipped with
thermostatic valves, then the thermal comfort in the heated room should be
controlled by appropriate adjustment of these valves in order to achieve high
efficiency and economic operation of the system.
5.5.
Stopping the operation of the system.
Stopping the operation of the hot water electric boiler of series „ELTHERM”
should be performed by turning to 0 degree the operating thermostat of the boiler;

Turning OFF the boiler.
The boiler is turned
off
by switching the main power supply fuse of the boiler
into OFF position, after the boiler get cooled down, it should be switched off by
turning off the mains power supply fuse, also used as power supply switching
element.

Emergency stop of the system.
In operating process of the system emergency situations could arise and a
component (i.e. the boiler) will go into alarm/failure mode. Some situations
are detected by the safety units and the control module of the boiler will go
