‘foam-safe’ cyano, white glue or epoxy, as these adhesives do not produce
durable joints between any material and high-density SOLIDPOR® foam.
The power system
The illustration shows all the components of the power system. Note that the
propeller and spinner must not be fitted until the fuselage has been completed. Fix
the electric motor (1) to the motor mount (2) using four countersunk screws (3). The
E-PROP (6) is attached to the motor shaft at a later stage using parts (4) to (10).
Note that the retaining nut (8) must be tightened firmly using an 11 mm A/F spanner.
Fuselage and tail group
Glue the motor mount (2) in the right-hand fuselage shell (11), taking care to orien-
tate it correctly: the opening for the motor leads should be on the underside and
central. Please ensure that you apply adhesive to the full contact area between
the motor mount and the fuselage sides. Immediately wipe off any excess glue
using kitchen paper. Assemble the wing screw support (13) and glue it in place. Glue
the retaining clips (15) in both fuselage shells (11) and (12). Connect the speed con-
troller to the motor and receiver, and check that the motor rotates in the right direc-
tion: clockwise as seen from behind the motor. The two fuselage shells can now be
glued together permanently. Caution: due to the large joint area it is important to
check the fit “dry” (without glue) first. Good ventilation is essential for this stage; work
outdoors if you are not sure. Ensure that glue is applied to all the contact surfaces.
