Apply a light coating of grease to the pump rod (27)
and push it into the pump housing through the hole
in the retaining nut (9) (F

Replace the two back-up rings (14) and o-ring (15)
with new back-up rings and o-ring and grease lightly
(F

Place the extension tube (26) over the pump rod
and tighten to pump housing (torque 40 ft-lb/54.2
N•m) (F
. 50).
10. Place the ball (22) back into the pump piston (25)
11. Apply medium strength thread locking compound on
the threads of the pump rod (27).
