Measurements have been carried out with a steel frame above the antenna in variable
distances. The transponder was positioned at nominal reading distance (250 mm) un-
derneath the antenna. Current consumption was retuned to maximum value, see sec-
tion 5.3.2.4 on page 38. The measured displacement signal of the transponder is not
influenced through metal as long as the surface of the antenna is covered evenly.

Test setup with Transponder and reinforcement mat
The measurement was performed with a reinforcement mat with the meshes sized at
90 x 240 mm. The measured parameters were: Tuning value, current consumption,
value of reference coil Us, value of positioning coil Ud and whether the antenna is able
to decode the Transponder code. The position of the transponder was X = -100 mm,
Y = 0 mm.
The transponder was located in a distance of 20 cm below the antenna, and the mat
was lowered in intervals of 5 cm.
