Influence of a metal plate on the antenna
1 mm thickness of the plate
Measurements have been carried out with a steel plate above the antenna in variable
distances. The transponder was positioned at nominal reading distance (250 mm) un-
derneath the antenna. Current consumption was retuned to maximum value, see sec-
tion 5.3.2.4 on page 38. The measured displacement signal of the transponder is not
influenced through metal as long as the surface of the antenna is covered evenly.
